Katelyn McCarthy

Katelyn McCarthy has been a member of the La Danse family for over 20 years. She graduated from Seton Hall University with a degree in Elementary, Special, and Early Childhood Education and currently works as a third grade teacher for Newark Public Schools. She is very involved in the theatrical arts having directed, choreographed, and performed in many stage plays and musicals. She also has experience coaching competitive gymnastics. She is a huge advocate of the many benefits of a dance education. She works to instill the same values in her students that she was taught from a young age as a student of La Danse; these values include hard work, confidence, teamwork, respect, and a passion for dance. She teaches various styles including acro, ballet, lyrical, jazz, tap, musical theatre, and hip hop. Miss Katelyn strives to inspire her students to be the best they can be!
