Shannon Jean
Shannon Jean began her formal dance training at LaDanse School of Performing Arts at the young age of 2 and remained at LaDanse through high school. Shannon studied modern dance and creative movement at Tufts University, where she majored in Psychology and Minored in Dance. While at Tufts, Shannon was heavily involved in the fromal dance program as well as student run dance programs. She received the Dance Studies Award while at Tufts.
After graduation, Shannon returned to New Jersey where she began teaching at Ladanse, offering the studio's first modern dance classes. In 2009, Shannon moved to Chicago to complete her graduate studies in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling. While in Chicago, Shannon taught ballet to children with cerebral palsy and continued dancing and performing . In 2012, Shannon completed her Master's Degree and returned to teaching at LaDanse.
Along with teaching at LaDanse, Shannon works as a school-based mental health therapist and operates a private therapy practice in New Jersey. Shannon shares her life with her husband Joseph, and their 2 year-old daughter, Aria Michelle.
